O Level ‘IT’
National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India
Eligibility: 10+2 passed, or an ITI certificate taken one year after class 10.
The course is built around five components:
- M1-R5 Information Technology Tools and Network Basics
- M2-R5 Web Designing and Publishing
- M3-R5 Programming and Problem Solving through Python
- M4-R5 Internet of Things and its Applications
- PJ1-R5 Project
It is designed against specific job roles: user interface designer, web designer, web publication assistant, office automation assistant and IoT application integrator. Academically it progresses to A Level and then B Level, and it is treated as equivalent to the TQC certification of Computer Skill Foundation standards in Taiwan.
A Level

The advanced diploma that follows O Level, and a considerably heavier programme. Suited to students who have completed O Level and want a qualification that stands on its own rather than as a foundation.

RS-CIT
Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited (RKCL), Government of Rajasthan
The Rajasthan State Certificate in Information Technology. A short, practical computer literacy certification that carries real weight in state government recruitment — it appears in the eligibility or scoring criteria for a long list of posts.

Tally Essential and Tally Comprehensive

Tally Essential covers the fundamentals: company setup, ledgers, vouchers, inventory and basic reporting. Enough to work in a small business account department.
Tally Comprehensive goes further into GST, TDS, payroll and the advanced reporting features. This is the one to take if you want to be employable in an accounting firm rather than a shop.
